The NFTree Labs team began our NFT journey with AxieTree because we wanted to slowly delve into the nascent NFT space and explore the use of NFTs as tools of financial empowerment.
Axies are particularly interesting as NFTs as each Axie represents ownership in a game economy that allows players to earn SLP tokens, introducing the concept of “yield generating NFTs”.
Since our launch in January, 2021,, the community has been nothing but incredible. We were blown away by loyal and talented users such as bluechew and hdotfi, who together earned more than 20,000 SLPs via Axies borrowed on AxieTree!

January has been a big month for AxieTree. Read on to find out what we’ve been up to, and what’s coming next.
First, a HUGE thank you to our Alpha Launch participants. And congratulations to Erick “bluechew” Vásquez for earning over 1500 SLP in the very first AxieTree Epoch! It was amazing to see the power of Play to Earn and facilitate the creation of value between AxieTree borrowers and lenders. And now we can’t wait to scale it out.

AxieTree is now live(!) at www.axietree.com and we will explain details of our alpha program in this blog.
There are three phases to our alpha program:
Phase One
Dates: December 25th — January 8th
Phase One of the alpha program began with the founding team as Lenders and our community partners as the first Borrowers.
In addition to testing the borrow and lend features end-to-end on Ethereum mainnet, we’ll finalize changes on our end to accommodate the recent changes to SLP claim periods by Axie Infinity. We will communicate those changes before Phase Two launch in a separate blog post.
Last week we announced AxieTree, a lending and borrowing protocol for Axies.

Axie Infinity exploded this year and is primed to be even more exciting in 2021. We are very pleased to announce our contribution to the Axie Infinity ecosystem: AxieTree.
AxieTree is an open marketplace for borrowing and lending Axies.
New players will be able to try out Axie Infinity effectively for the price of gas by borrowing their choice of up to 3 Axies. Existing players will be able to experiment with different Axies and battle strategies. Axie owners will be able to lend out their Axies and gain a share of the SLP earned by borrowers.
